myhostplus runs myhostplus and is the data controller for the personal information described here. That means we decide how and why your information is used.

What we collect and why

• Account details (name, email, login details). We use these to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
• Property, booking and guest details you enter (including guest names and emails, Wi-Fi and access notes, reviews and listing text). We use these to provide the service, including AI features. Legal basis: contract.
• Usage and device data (IP address, browser and device details, activity logs). We use these for security, fraud prevention and to improve the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages. We use these to answer your questions. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails, only if you agree. You can withdraw consent at any time. Legal basis: consent.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host the app, store data and run AI processing for us.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which handles sales, subscriptions, payments, tax and invoices.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Guidebooks

If you publish a guidebook, anyone with its link or QR code can see its contents. Don't include anything you want to keep private.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. When they do, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. After you close it, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable time, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data. You can also ask us to restrict or stop certain uses, or withdraw consent. You can complain to your local privacy regulator. In Australia, that's the OAIC. We reply within one month.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and per-account data isolation.

Cookies

We only use essential storage, such as your sign-in session. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser settings, but you'll be signed out.
